![]() ![]() We can recreate this set in any of our colors for any western revolver. From the Saddle Tan color we conclude that it may have been worn by a Cavalry Scout. The entire rig was just one more way to carry additional bullets in a dangerous land. It seems that the holster could be unlaced and removed from the belt slide and worn on the belt without it. The width of the slide appears to fit a normal 1 3/4″ military belt. There appears to be a folded belt slide with ten 3/4″ cartridge loops and a horizontal Buscadero slot that the holster belt loop goes through. Instead of a buckle strap, the drop loop around the holster is laced like many later Lawrence brand holsters. The larger full flap closes with a Sam Browne stud and provides more protection for the pistol. This holster and belt slide combination is extremely rare and may be a “one of a kind.” From examination, It appears to be a modified Forsythe U.S. ![]()
